VolunteerSports Camps

Discipleship Focused

At AGAITAS, we don’t just provide free athletic camps. We invest in kids of all ages in order to create the leaders of the future. We hope those who attend our camps come back as leaders for the kids behind them.

Ultimately, we want everyone involved with AGAITAS to leave the program with a heart for Christ and a desire to influence others for God’s Kingdom, so we’ve designed each of our athletic camps to also contain a focus in discipleship.

At the end of camp—whether it’s soccer, baseball, or basketball—we want all our campers to walk away knowing someone loves and cares about them.

Volunteer Leaders

Leadership Opportunities

Our camps provide kids with a free opportunity to have fun with friends and develop their athletic skills. Each day we also have a guest speaker or camp staff member share a message from God’s Word. We hope our elementary school campers will see great role models in their counselors and come back to volunteer as counselors themselves when they get older.

Middleschool Discipleship

The majority of middle school counselors at our camps are kids who came through our program as elementary school students. We love to see our campers transition from “being served” to “serving.”

GOALS:

  • Create students who are positive role models to the world around them.
  • Provide positive role models for middle school students to learn from.
  • Have older middle school students reach out to the younger ones as they transition out of elementary school.

High School Discipleship

Our high school counselors are usually partnered with an adult volunteer to help lead a small group of campers. As they invest in the younger campers, they inspire those kids to pursue their own leadership development—and the AGAITAS cycle continues.

GOALS:

  • Create students who are positive role models to the world around them.
  • Provide positive role models for high school students to learn from.
  • Have older high school students reach out to the younger ones as they transition out of middle school.
